Texas Hold'Em Lessons

My daughter and I will be in Vegas Saturday 3/7 thru Wed. Mar. 11. We%26#39;re really wanting to take some free hold%26#39;em lessons if any are available.

Is anyone aware if any casinos offer free hold%26#39;em lessons so that we can contact them while there to find the day(s) and time?

We understand the game but not the betting and blind process. Think it would be fun to learn together while in Vegas.

Texas Hold'Em Lessons

I don%26#39;t have the info you%26#39;re looking for but I have a suggestion. You can sign up at PartyPoker.net (NOT dot com as that is a real money game, I believe) and you can practice there right now. It is completely free and you can sign up for quick tournaments or long ones. BTW, we%26#39;ve never had any problems with their software (viruses, spyware, etc.)

Texas Hold'Em Lessons

Luxor offered Hold%26#39;em lesson last month at 2pm I believe. Call their Poker Room to confirm dates and times.

I saw a couple having a lesson at Mandalay Bay while I was there.

I can recommend that you play only:

22-AA, AK, AQ, AJ and only suited connectors eg 8/9 diamonds.

Also, be the one to raise, or re-raise with a strong hand (JJ-AA)...don%26#39;t call other people%26#39;s raises if you can help it.

Fold all other hands and enjoy the conversation while raping the casinos for free drinks.

Fist time out of the gate playing for real money, you are almost GUARANTEED to lose your money playing a looser strategy than described above.

Thanks all for your input.

Aaces - sounds like a great strategy and I hope to give it a try!

BTW, It was 2pm when we were at MB, I think on a Monday, maybe Tuesday.
