Which city has the best factory outlets?

Hi,

We are currently planning a trip to the US in April at Easter. We are visiting LA, Las Vegas, NYC and Miami.

I have heard that there are Factory Outlets in these cities. We only have between 2-3 days in each city so was hoping that someone might be able to tell me of all these cities, which one is best to spend a day at the outlets? Ie. which one has the biggest variety and bargains of these cities? (and the least percentage of tax)

Last yr we spent a long weekend in Hawaii and I discovered the shop Dress for Less and we went crazy for at least 7 hrs! Even had to buy a bag to fit all our stuff in! Are there any shops like this one in the US?

Thanks!

Many areas have outlet malls. There are two main companies that have them all over. Check with the local boards of the other cities or you can check under Premium Outlets or Mills Outlets to find the locations and what stores they have.

There are two in Vegas where many people find good buys, especially if they are from out of town. I think for many from the US, the deals don%26#39;t make it quite worth the trek if we have an outlet near us.

As for other discount stores, you%26#39;ll find Ross Dress for Less and Kohls in las vegas. My wife is a bargain shopper and she often goes to Macy%26#39;s.

If you go to any Macys in the U.S make sure you go to the customer services desk with your passport.

The will give you a discount card for 11% (I think )off all purchases except cosmetics.

If you are going to nyc go to centry21 downtown its a great store for discounted higher end merchandise. Something like tj maxx but better imho. Be aware the store gets really crowded go early if possible.

Have a great trip

I%26#39;m going to Vegas in April too, there are 2 Outlets (Premium and Las Vegas Center). Near Miami there is the Sawgrass Mills, also very good.

In NYC I woudn%26#39;t recommend Century 21. Too crowded, bad service, didn%26#39;t find it so good...But Woodbury is great!! Good luck!!

Nowadays, the so called ';outlet'; centers do not usually have the best bargins. They are just retail stores in disguise.

The best clothing deals are usually at discount stores like Ross, Marshall%26#39;s, or TJ Maxx. Some department stores like Macy%26#39;s have sales and clearance items weekly but it%26#39;s a hit and miss.

Here are some other sites you might check out, take what they say with a grain of salt but also call before you go to any of the stores they mention to make sure they are still in business, the global recession is closing businesses;

I have heard Sawgrass Mills just North of Miami is really really big. We didn%26#39;t go when we were there though. We went to Dolphin Mall and Dadeland in Miami. Dadeland has a huge Macy%26#39;s, and you can get there on the train. There are also a few branches of Ross and Marshall%26#39;s (similar) in Miami - we used the ones downtown, but there%26#39;s also one or both of these up at Midtown, and probably elsewhere. I know there%26#39;s a Ross across from Dadeland too, but I didn%26#39;t think that branch was that good.

As for Vegas, there%26#39;s the two outlet malls, south strip and near downtown. Both are good, and we usually go to both.
