Authentic Italian in Vegas?

Not looking for glitz or new wave. Just a simple

old world italian. Picture quiet opera music playing, white linens, fabulous food.

My research has dug up:

La Scala

Piero%26#39;s

Casa di Amore

Any thoughts? Would love and appreciate local opinion.

Thanks

I%26#39;m not exactly sure what old world Italian is, but you might want to add Noras to your list.

Bootleggers.

I haven%26#39;t had a chance to check it out yet but some culinary teacher told me to try, Trivoli Gardens, for italian food;

Try it and report back what you think.

We were just at Carluccio%26#39;s last week. Great chicken marsala but the decor is pure cheese. It%26#39;s kind of cool that way really but there are no singing waiters, dim lights, or candles. Hearty portions and decent prices in a hidden away spot near UNLV.

I agree that Bootleggers has it goin on for a clean, upbeat, great food joint. It%26#39;s open 24 hours.

Casa is comfortable and good food.

Piero%26#39;s is great food but a bit pricey.

CHICAGO JOES without a doubt.....just like grandma used to make check menu on their website.
