Who has stayed at mandalay Bay?

We are coming to Vegas on 3/29 for the week. My father will be with us this time. He is 83 and walks very slow except when he is in the casino. I would like to stay at Mandalay bay because I would like to swim but not sure how far back the rooms are. Do you have to walk 5 miles to get to the rooms. I am also thinking of staying at bills gambling hall also because I know he can get to the room easy but really really would like Mandalay Bay. So who has stayed there and how far back r the rooms?

Thanks

no it is not a 5 mile hike

The answer to your question will vary. Ask them to put you as close to the pool as they can.

Bill%26#39;s doesn%26#39;t have a pool, so you will have to use the pool at the Flamingo.

So, I guess the lesser of 2 evils.

Not a terrible walk to the rooms like some of the other properties. Nice rooms and watching the shark reef channel is kind of cool.

you can swim at many properties other than mandy

bill%26#39;s does not have apool and it so far below mandy in standards

have you considered renting a scooter for the trip? Your dad will not have to be concerned with distances - which are far in LV, not just from lobby to room, but everywhere.

of the 2 you have mentioned mandy much better, when you say ';how far back'; from where are you asking? the pool, casino, lobby? some rooms further away - when you make you res talk to the agent, inform them of your needs.

As hotel/casinos go MB is not bad. The elevators are very convienently placed to access both the casino and pool. Also the casino is spacious with wide aisles and plenty of space between banks of machines, making it easy to navigate.

Actually this is one of the bad things about Bills. Because it is small and very compact, when it is crowded it can be very difficult to walk around in the casino.

If you want to reduce walking - ask for a room close the the elevator. The MB halls are long, if you get one near the end, it is a long walk to your room.

You can take the elevators from your room floor straight to the pool level.

Mandalay Bay is actually one of the few hotels that you don%26#39;t have to walk through the casino to get to the guest room elevators. So, in that regard, MB is a good bet.

It is a large property, and I agree with Bridge - a scooter might be a good idea.

Will you be driving a rental car? If so, you will want to use the valet parking at the front entrance. The self parking garage at the west end of the property would be a long walk for your father.
